Preparing for "The End"

Believe it or not, Harold Camping's Rapture prophecy came up in a meeting at work this morning (!). I felt a tinge of discomfort that I was questioned if I believed in it (since I'm a Christian, of course I believe every whack job with a large King James Version Bible, a camera and some air time... *rollseyes*). But there are some preparing to be caught up in the sky:

Well the Bible says, that no one will know the coming of our Lord. I'm trying so hard to believe that right now. But...the truth is...I'm ready for him to come. I really hope it's true! This world has gone to cramp. And no I'm not depressed. I'm just fed up with ALL the BS!

Angie,, I agree, this world is a mess, however you are correct also in the fact that the bible says that no one will know the coming of the Lord, he will come like a thief in the night. There are no exceptions to that rule, and if there is an exception as in this Saturday being the end of days, then that would mean that God is wrong which is not possible. The Bible is all or nothing.

I feel sorry for these people giving up everything in anticipation for what will be a huge disappointment on their part.

Harold Camping disturbs me on so many levels; he predicted twice before and of course both times he was wrong, just like he will be this time. He's a scholar (and I use the term loosely) who's become too smart for his own good and if you ever listen to him, routinely puts down people to get his point across.

People should not be scared - but instead come to Jesus because he is who they need, and not because HC said so.

Disturbing....

I patiently waited for the deadline to end on the west coast, then added an extra hour for good measure, you know..just in case Armageddon was running late...oh well, the Mayan calender runs out next year..so there is always another Apocalypse around the corner.

Joe, yeah... I thought maybe the dark clouds that came would at least be some kind of sign. Instead, it was... a thunderstorm, sans Jesus. Not even an angel!

Ok, so I'm derailing the thread here but, I was watching plenty of Angel..final season and Angel & Co. took over Wolfram & Heart.. at least that show will end in a juicy apocalypse. (just saying) =)
